Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Tania began painting in her teens. Largely self-taught, she is forever learning and experimenting. Living in the United States for the past ten years, and in Chicago for most of that time, she has continued to pursue her love for art.

She has always enjoyed the process of painting as much as the end result. She finds painting relaxing and often loses track of time while working on her art. What she enjoys the most about painting is the pleasure she finds in exploration and discovery, and the simple fact of being allowed to play with colors, water, and other materials...the potential of a white canvas and the endless possibilities!

Nature appears as a source of inspiration in most of Tania’s work. Showing an appreciation for an organic, aesthetic sensibility, she wants to celebrate the sensuality of shapes found in the natural world, while incorporating human emotions and experiences. After nature, foreign lands and cultures are some of her favorite sources of inspiration, together with the pure joy of beholding vibrant, bold colors.
