Tania enjoys the creation of pieces that demonstrate an altered reality. A reality in which magical elements cohabit with real elements while seeming natural and unforced. Blurring the lines of demarcation between what is real and what is fantastic is one of the things she enjoys most.
An overall whimsical quality can be seen especially in some of her latest work, where she creates worlds in which reality and fiction are playfully intertwined. These works of fiction possess an ethereal quality reminiscent of a lucid dream, capturing time and space between reality and imagination. In these pieces, external elements are often combined with inner elements of the human experience: emotions, memories, dreams and imagination.
The pieces are like an open invitation for the viewer to come in and play, to escape reality and join the game. While they hold a specific meaning for the artist, she invites you to participate and add yet another layer to the interpretation of the pieces by projecting into them your own experiences, making them yours.
