A Beautiful Gathering, an Artistic Collaboration
For this collaboration I wanted to explore the meaningful interactions that take place when we gather friends and family around the table and share a meal. In particular, I was interested in the power of beauty to connect us with others. To help me bring my vision to life I reached out to Elizabeth Bloom at Home Grown and Erinn Tillman. Together, we managed to pull off not only a great artistic collaboration but a magical evening to remember.
Check out Elizabeth's Portrait Interview and Erinn's Portrait Interview, to learn more about these talented women and their creative approach to table design and flower arrangement.

Testing designs, materials and color samples. I don't typically paint on linen (the materials we decided to use), so I had to do a few tests.

Once I got the OK from Elizabeth and Erinn on the color palette and design, it was time to get to work on the larger pieces.

The day of the event we got together in the morning to look at the final product and gather all the materials needed to bring our vision to life.

A little visit to Linda's garden for some additional flowers. Erinn wanted this hydrangea to complement the color palette of our table design.

Laying out the moss and hand-painted table runners, while Erinn starts to work on the flower arrangements.

The master at work. Elisabeth selecting and arranging the right pieces to set the scene for a beautiful gathering.

All hands on deck. This is where all comes together, where our collective creative energy collides to make it happen.

The details and the final result. This is the kind of magic that happens when talented women get together to create and celebrate.
